I saw that a while back. It give me chills, makes me tear up a little and then makes me smile. As smart as animals are, I wouldn't doubt that a pet would "recognize" a piece of their former owner like that.

sooz, it's not terribly sad, but more bittersweet. I'll prepare you. An old man with a devoted dog dies. The dog is sitting vigil outside the hospital where the man was last in residence. Then, a younger woman is wheeled out and the dog runs to her like he recognizes that she has a piece of his owner! It's an organ donation PSA.
