Thought I'd start this thread. Please add your faves.

Fisher Price infant swing:

"Blah, blah, blah. Requires adult assembly"

Seriously? Damn, I though my 2 month old could slap the thing together and save me the trouble!

:rollin

I can't believe they have to specify "adult". I figure some knucklehead decided to let their child (7-8 yr old) try to do it, then demanded a refund when it didn't work properly......... :eyes

This one. Let me dissect it for you. First of all the "code red" is over the top. BUT! They take a stuffed animal that has juice on it's face, then proceed to drench it with soap and water. No drying at all. I guess baby can tell the difference. Then, "Keep your head (something). Don't let her see the fear" is again, over the top. Stupid.

BTW, that looks like Jack Ritter, John's son.

My comments in reply. Don't want to spoil it for you and I am NOT mocking the visually impaired.

So both hubby and I said.

"If the visually impaired could see this, they'd wonder why the f'ing idiots didn't TILT the sofa to remove it from the elevator." :rollin

To be fair the other DV PSA's have been pretty darn good.

Only some stations are in kind of public hands. Plenty of private ones, too.
I noticed the private ones have a short commercial break at around half time of an hour long movie.

No Roger Ailes there. :D

Looks like the "private" station with commercials is actual swiss TV. I checked, and there is at half time of an hour long movie exactly 4 minutes commercial break. I repeat, FOUR minutes.
That's just the opposite to Amurkin TV, where they fit in a four minute movie in an hour long commercial break.
Did I mention my battery savings in my remote since I hardly switch channels anymore?

I guess the idea in that laundry commercial is that the baby cries without his bunny, so the parents are freaking out trying to get it back to him.

Commercials today are trying too hard to be entertaining and humorous.

Maybe John, but it seems as if they TOOK the bunny away because it had juice on it's face and then washed/rinsed it, then took it back to the baby. My point was/is the juice was wet, the clean bunny was wet. What's the difference to an infant who just want's his/her bunny? :eyes

You are right. However, there are some that actually hit that funny note without being outrageous. I laugh every damn time I see the "Mr. Sketch scented markers" commercial. The juvenile in me, I guess. The "ever wonder how they smell so good?", coupled with the graphic is hilarious!

....and sometimes they succeed. Often enough the commercials are far better than the shows.
