...the stove has died.

Thought it was just the stovetop/burners, but today the oven says no too. Oven worked fine last night!

Naturally, I went shopping yesterday and had everything ready for a weekend of yummy meals. UGH!

Yep ... everything!!! ~ wish I had time to get there ~ I LOVE BBQ'd anything! ~ :b

Sooz

P.S. I'm sorry this happened, Chaos ~ I know how pricey new stoves are and I'm guessing this is not an expense you had budgeted for ~ sometimes [but only sometimes] it's worth checking into repairing vs buying new ~

Could simply be a short and all the stove fuses (or breakers) blew.

If it's a relatively new stove, it probably has a lot of electronics included - which means it has a shelf life.

Focus, sid. It's the stove, not the kitchen cupboards. ;)

The smoker you drink the player you get. :D

I'm just sayin' if it's LG or Samsung, they should just stick to TV's.

I reckon you checked the breaker.

You don't know how many times I was called to fix something and the breaker was tripped/bad/not correctly reset. :D
Any idea why the fuse was blown? That be my next issue to solve.

Not really. But we can't even remember how old that fuse was and they don't last forever. Everything checked out fine (w/voltmeter) after it was replaced.

Indeed, roseanne! Only had to bump the menu plans by one day so nothing went to waste.

When that happened to us we found one of the connector wires to the bottom oven element was frayed and caused intermittent shorts, causing the fuse to blow.
