My Auntie Eveline in South Sudan had a post today that I find profound. Yep-don't I feel like an idiot for complaining about having to go out and buy a notebook for my kid because it was inconvenient that day? lol I guess sometimes I need these little smacks upside the head.
the reality of Africa: I am reading my book, very comfy at home - an external staff member comes knocking at my door to share a problem: he has not slept for 2 nights, his daughter has not eaten for 2 nights because she was sent back from school as the school fees had not been paid - the amount of which I spend easily on a dinner out (which I am having tonight). this kind and very hard working man needed help. who should be shy here?
