This has become a favorite for many reasons. I loved Janis Joplin. She spent a lot of time in this area. The video also has a young woman I did not know of named Joss Stone. What an outstanding voice she has. The main reason is Melissa Etheridge and her bald head from her fight with and victory over cancer. I had never really paid a lot of attention to her until I saw and heard this. She is an amazing activist and to belt out a song like this when most of us would still be in bed feeling sorry for ourselves is just spectacular.

I remember watching this performance and being blown away by Melissa's rendition.
Yes, Joss Stone has a voice but she was outclassed many times over by Melissa's sheer power and emotional delivery.
The very thing Janis gave us.
