Wow.. her "Santa Baby" version has been played on the radio over and over in the last couple of weeks here. In fact, my husband and I were just talking about her a couple of days ago. She was an "ok" catwoman on Batman... but she was no Julie Newmar. Come to think of it, she was no Marilyn Monroe either! Monroe's version of "Santa Baby" was more.. umm... provactive, suggestive, SLUTTY?? Anyway, sorry to hear this.

We are not-so-slowly coming to the end of an era ~ who are the heart-throb replacements for Frank Sinatra, Sarah Vaughn, Duke Ellington, Louis Armstrong, Eartha Kitt, etc? ~ many of the 40s/50s/60s stars who have died were trailblazers, introducing deep talent and blatant sexuality AND sensuality to the stage and screen ~ and Eartha Kitt was certainly one of those trailblazers ~
