Chet Atkins gave out three 'certified guitar player awards'. One to John Knowles, one to Jerry Reed and one to Tommy Emmanuel.

Tommy is from Australia. He's a great guy, fabulous finger-stylist and my personal favorite acoustic player. He does a TommyFest each year in Kentucky. He also stops in occasionally at the Fur Piece Ranch in Ohio, which is run by the former Jefferson Airplane/Hot Tuna guitar Jorma Kaukonen.
