wow. this is a f(*king insane piece. ty for posting, chaos. this piece SOUNDS romantic, but it the harmonies are far too dense for that era. this is 20th century, but with a nod to earlier times. fantastic!

I'd seen this during the VanCliburn competition on PBS years ago. I was so impressed, I actually clipped his name out of the TV guide listing, had it on my bulletin board for a long time. Why it popped into my head now, I don't know. But even my 9 year old said "Whoa!!!" and we watched it about 6 times...lol...

I'm basically a hard rock/heavy metal gal...but if I like something, I like it-no matter the genre. Alexi plays from a place deep down, doesn't he?
