Just bit the bullet and got us tickets to the Billy Joel/Elton John Faces tour this summer.

(I know, I know....snicker if you want to, but I've never seen either of 'em live, and they are getting up there in years. lol )

I passed on tickets to see Stevie Ray Vaughan in my youth, figured I'd catch him the next time he came around, and, well....it wasn't to be. That sticks with me to this day.

I'm old enough to have seen the original Faces.

I also saw Led Zeppelin before John Bonham died and The Who before Keith Moon died.
Drummers must get nervous if they spot me in the audience.

I just watch them on DVD and look away everytime the camera cuts to Neil Peart. Image

Thank you. lol.

Do you have the "Rush in Rio" DVD? It's fun.

Some years ago, we were in Niagra Falls, my dh had his Rush t-shirt on, and a bunch of foreign tourists got all excited, and posed with him and took pictures. We never could figure out why...but they were Rush fans!

Billy Joel and Elton John just added a second concert here in July ~ first night sold out in something under 10 minutes ~ go figure ~ they are performing at Wrigley Field, which [with the new seating added] means @41,000 in the audience ~ Fleetwood Mac also is scheduled to perform [I think] at Wrigley Field this summer ~ the really funny part of concerts at Wrigley is that there are very strict ordinances in the Wrigley neighborhood [which is primarily residential with accompanying stores, restaurants, etc ~ and LOTS of bars] ~ the Cubs are only allowed to play "X" night games at home ~ but, by some very strange reasoning, rock concerts are just fine ~ again, go figure ~ Image
