this cd is really great. i recommend it. it is blues, but it is also very proggy and surfy. hard to explain- but very listenable.

small ensemble- drums, guitar, keys. very skilled playing all around- but the keys are the rogue element- alternatively manufactured sloppiness, humorously places oblique melody, and filler behind the lead. the drumming is totally insane. i need to erect yet another alter to great drummers i will never meet- Simon Lott. i give this one ****/5. it won't appeal to everyone- but it is inspired instrumental music that consistently bends the mold.
