I've been making treats for the dogs lately.

Yesterday....cold pops!

Plain Yogurt
Pumpkin
Pumpkin & yogurt

Filled cheap 3oz disposable cups, covered w/tinfoil, froze.

They went NUTSO for them!!!

I still have some plain yogurt and cups, so I may try banana-yogurt or peanut butter-yogurt too. Must take some to good neighbor dog Yellow. :)

And here's the treats I was baking when it wasn't 90 degrees out....lol....we still have some in the freezer, and they don't mind eating them frozen.

@4 cups oat flour (but any flour will do)
3 eggs
1 can pumpkin puree
1/2-3/4 c smooth peanut butter

Mix all. Helps to slightly melt the peanut butter in the microwave.

Roll out between two sheets of parchment paper to @1/8" thick. Remove top parchment sheet. Score dough into shapes (I just make squares, I'm boring) before baking at 350 degrees until crispy and golden brown. (20-30 minutes, depending on how thin you rolled the dough)

Yum.

Funny! My Mom used to make yogurt and OJ popcicles for my kids. They LOVED them. She would sometimes add bananas after tossing them in a little lemon juice to keep them from turning brown. She used ice cube trays with popcicle sticks, but you could just pop them out for the doggies.

Oh hell...you don't think I'm going to make treats for PEOPLE, do you?

( The cups slow them down, they have to just lick a while.... :lol )

I make frozen pops for my buddies too. Mine have yogurt, blueberries and broken dog cookies in them, frozen in dixie cups.

Broken dog cookies!? I never thought of that. Great way to use up those leftover bits. Thanks for the tip!
