One of our neighbours works on the boats and gave us some freshly-caught swordfish yesterday. We're having it tonight. Will tell you how it turned out.
They're supposed to release them but this one was too tangled up in the net to make that possible.

The fish was outstanding. Pan-seared then pan-roasted in the oven.
The smoke detector did some "detectin'".
Made a lemon-wine sauce for it.

Sounds interesting. Glad it was good.

We "catered" the swordfish with all the trimmings at some friends who haven't been in the best of health recently. It was a nice treat for all of us.

Nothing like sharing a bounty to make it taste better! Good for you and lucky for them to have such good friends.
