Our very favorite sauce to use with meatballs is Safeway Select Spicy Ginger Sauce. I know that it has high fructose syrup, which is bad, but it has a "sinus clearing" heat that we can't duplicate, but love. Safeway has been bought by Sobey's and they are phasing out this sauce.
We are bummed. When we couldn't find it at our regular Safeway, we went to another and bought them out. LOL! 12 bottles of the stuff.

I've made my displeasure known to TPTB, but it will do no good.
We simmer the meatballs and carrot "chips" in the sauce and have pasta with garlic butter and soy sauce. It's delicious! Even my picky SIL loved it when we drove down the last time a few years ago. I bought a few bottles to take. My daughter was astonished that he ate the carrots. Ha!
In the mean time, I'll try to duplicate the sauce myself. Trial and error. They use red jalapenos, which are hard to find. Will sub some other kind of red chili pepper. Honey for sure. We'll see.....
