First of all, this is a small apartment sized oven, which I hate, but can deal with.

Decided to bake some bacon, which I've never done before. Bad mistake with new oven. I did put in thermometer to test temp. It was supposed to be at 400F, but registered 350F, so I bumped the knob up to 450F. Evidently, it eventually reached 400F and more. Or something. Ended up with bacon on one end of pan burned, the other end almost burned. Because I used two pans, I took out the other pan and it wasn't even done yet. That's the problem with old apartment size ovens. They never cook evenly. Finished other pan in frying pan.

In the midst of all of this, I opened the oven to check bacon and set off smoke alarm TWICE, due to the burned bacon. LMAO!

Anyway, I'll stick to cooking bacon on my electric griddle. For all other things baked, I'll use my toaster oven which is perfect for the two of us. With larger batches, like cookies, they get baked in two rounds.

Bacon takes about a minute to nuke.

But, I do a whole package and freeze. :b Then 20 seconds in the microwave and it's ready for whatever. I save 40 seconds. LOL! Neener, neener. :tongue

How long does it take on your electric griddle, once thawed?
