We seem to all be seafood lovers in our family and often we seem to be pressed for time. We like this recipe and it is very easy. Since our neighbor brought home halibut yesterday and we had this here is the recipe :

Baked Halibut

I use this amount for 6 if want 1/2 lb serving halibut :

3 lbs halibut steaks (on or about 1 inch thick)
1 cup ( 8 oz ) sour cream
1/2 cup fresh Parmesan , then grate
1/4 cup butter , softened
1/2 teaspoon dill weed ( or can switch to thyme or basil to preference. I usually have fresh herbs on hand that I finely chop and adjust amount up to taste )
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon pepper , fresh ground is best but not required
paprika

Preheat oven to 375 degrees
Grease 13-inch x 9-inch baking dish.
Combine the sour cream, Parmesan cheese, butter, dill, salt and pepper; spoon over halibut.
Cover and bake at 375 degrees for 20 minutes.
Uncover; sprinkle with paprika. Bake 10 -12 or so minutes longer or until fish flakes easily with a fork.

Tell your children or spouse they are in charge of the rest of the meal as long as it includes a vegetable.
