OK, Thanksgiving's over, though the turkey lives on and on in leftovers. Everything I made for my T-day meal this year was a first time attempt, including the bird, the stuffing and the desserts. Even the humdrum can of cranberry sauce got a makeover. The following recipe was originally published in Taste of Home Holiday magazine and I was pleasantly surprised by how good it tasted. You might want to consider this little gem for your next turkey dinner. This would probably also go well with a nice pork roast for Christmas.

Cranberry Orange Sauce

1 medium orange
1 14 oz can whole-berry cranberry sauce
3/4 cup reduced sodium teriyaki sauce
1/2 cup honey
1/2 cup orange marmalade

[*]Juice the orange. Reserve the rind and use it inside the turkey. [*]In a large bowl, combine the juice, cranberry sauce, teriyaki sauce, honey and marmalade. Cover and refrigerate until ready to use. If you like, reserve a half cup or so to rub under the skin of your turkey before putting it in the oven. [/list]
