I love cole slaw, primarily with the "creamy" [vs oil/vinegar] dressing ~ this is my sister's fast-and-easy-and-delicious recipe ~ ENJOY! ~ Sooz

Candy's Cole Slaw

1 lb shredded cabbage
1/3 to 1/2 cup shredded carrot
1/4 to 1/3 cup mayonnaise
1/4 to 1/3 cup Miracle Whip
salt/pepper
celery seed

Combine shredded cabbage and shredded carrot in bowl ~ mix mayo and Miracle Whip together ~ combine dressing and cabbage/carrot mix, and mix well ~ add celery seed and salt/pepper to taste ~

Notes:
~ The proportions [equal parts mayo and Miracle Whip] stay the same for larger batches.
~ I often use the packaged shredded cabbage.
~ I often add some shredded red cabbage and/or chopped parsley, for color as well as taste.
~ If you like more dressing, you can increase to 1/2 cup each mayo and Miracle Whip.
~ I use Hellman's Lite Mayo ~ do NOT use non-fat mayo.

My mom made cole slaw just about every day as she loved it so much and this recipe sounds like the way she made it. I have never tried making it myself but I think I am going to try this recipe and see if it tastes like my moms did.
