For the chocolate lovers, a quick bread that is not too sweet but should satisfy your chocolate cravings.
Chocolate Bread [list type=decimal][*]1 cup white flour[*]3 cups whole wheat flour[*]3/4 cup cocoa powder[*]4 tablespoons baking powder[*]1/4 brown sugar[*]1/2 salt[*]1/4 cup oil[*]2 & 1/2 cups water[/list]Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Spray 9x5" loaf pan with cooking spray or line with parchment paper. In a large bowl, combine flours, cocoa, baking powder salt and sugar. Add oil and water and mix thoroughly. If dough is too stiff to mix, you may need to add a little more water (depends on your flour). Spread dough out into loaf pan and bake for about an hour or until a knife inserted in center of loaf comes out mostly dry. Remove from oven and turn out bread onto a rack to cool.
This makes a delicious breakfast bread drizzled with honey or spread with your favorite jam. My niece liked it with powered sugar sprinkled on it.
