My Yia-ya (Greek grandma) made these cookies and was very stingy when it came to handing them out to my sister and me (she didn't like my mother and by extension, us).  We each got one when we visited her and that was it.

Ha ha, I make them my self now and I can have as many as I want!

Finikia

1/2 cup each: sugar, orange juice
2 cups vegetable oil
2 teaspoons cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
7 cups flour
2 cups chopped finely chopped walnuts or pecans
1lb honey
1/2 cup water

[list type=decimal][*]Preheat oven to 350 degrees.[*]In a large bowl, mix together the oil, sugar, orange juice, cinnamon and nutmeg.  Gradually add in the flour.
[*]Pinch off portions of the dough and form into little oblongs about 1/2-3/4" thick.  Place on cookie sheets about an inch apart and bake for about 20 minutes.[*]In the meantime, combine honey and water in a saucepan and bring to a boil.  Remove from heat.  Place the chopped nuts in a bowl or plate.
[*]When cookies come out of the oven, dip them into the honey using a fork or slotted spoon and then roll them in the chopped nuts.  Cool thoroughly on wax paper or aluminum foil.  Store in a cool place.
