We just had the best darn pork roast ever. It was a boneless loin roast (we bought a whole loin and I cut it up into 1 kg. mini-roasts and froze them and used the bones for soup base).
Used Montreal steak spice as a rub.
Cranked up the barbie to the max heat for about 15 minutes to sieze the juices.
Cooked it at around 300-325 for a couple of hours and voila!

If you ever do a pork roast in a crockpot, Oscar, throw half a can of root beer in with it.  Man does it ever add to the flavor!  Learned that one from an old Ukranian lady.

Yumm root beer! Thanks for the tip. I cooked a ham once with 7-up. It was delicious.

Hmmmm.. for pork roasts, I mix even amounts of ground cumin, ground mustard, garlic powder, paprika, brown sugar and applied as a rub the night before I cook it. Generally 325-350 degrees for 1/2 hr per pound with the roasting pan lid removed the last 10 minutes. Then I let the meat rest for @ 10 minutes before I wolf it down.
