I've just put on a crock-pot of chili and just wondering if anyone has a special recipe they love. One thing I always put in mine is cocoa, but you can also add a small piece of dark chocolate. It cuts the acidity. A spoonful of vinegar will work too.
I sort of wing it with my recipe. lol, as I do with most things. A dash of this, some of that. The only consistency is red beans and/or a can or two of chili beans that have spices added, tomato juice and a pound or so of lean ground beef.
We will eat this chili tomorrow after it "melds". Either with cornbread or corn chips. Yummmmmmmm. Going to relative's place for dinner tonight.
