One of the few domestic activities that I love is baking bread. I do not usually do quick breads of any sort, but this sounded so silly I had to try it - and it was soooooooo tasty.....

2 cups softened Ice Cream, any flavor (not non-fat style)
1 1/2 cups self rising flour

Stir together ice cream and flour, stirring just until flour is moistened.
Spoon batter into a greased and floured 8×4 inch loaf pan.
Bake at 350 degrees for 40 to 45 minutes or until a wooden pick inserted in the center of the bread comes out clean.
Remove from the pan, and cool on a wire rack.

It's too hot to bake right now...but this sounds like fun! What flavor(s) did you make?  I'm thinking Butter Almond would be yummy.

I admire you Beth. Baking bread seems beyond my skills. I've tried several times and ended up with wonderfully fragrant, golden brown, door stops or book ends. lol

Now all you have to do is carve up them doorstops with a Dremel, paint them up and sell 'em. People will buy anything these days.

A friend of mine made this bread this past weekend and told me about it.  She said it's yummy.  I was looking through these recipes and the title caught my eye and upon reading realized this is the same recipe that my friend was telling me about.  I am actually going to try and make this myself.
