Things have been getting much too serious lately - both here and on the other place whose name darest not be mentioned. I thought maybe we could lighten it up a bit with a little fun - actually it comes from a suggestion Kathy made to April in chat awhile back.
Here's the deal. Most of you know that Butterfly4you (April) and I (Jim) are a couple. Most of you also know that we cyberly met a couple of years ago in the other group on what we call "The Castle" thread which not so slowly progressed from trading a few jokes, to mild flirtation, to not so mild flirtation all the way to soft porn. You have also probably figured out that our real life relationship progressed in much the same way. In fact, a few of you kept her busy and grounded in chat last year while I travelled to Hamilton for a real life visit. We actually met for the first time a year ago this coming Thursday - April 15th. Last November she moved to Vancouver to be with me - lucky me!
What's really strange about the whole thing is that we have discovered April and Jim are very different and distinct from Butterfly and Jimwilliam. So much so, that we almost consider them a whole different couple with entirely different personalities (Jimwilliam doesn't snore in bed, for example, and Butterfly has never had PMS).
Now, fairly recently, April and I decided to become engaged and, when the stars align themselves properly, get married. That made us - well, me anyway - April can speak for herself - very happy - but it left that other couple, Butterfly and Jimwilliam out in the cold. It might seem a bit schizophrenic, but it just doesn't seem right for April and Jim to take the plunge and leave Butterfly and Jimwilliam to wander the roads of singledom. So, I have decided that Jimwilliam and Butterfly, our cyber alter egos, should get cyber married - and that's where you guys come in.
What I (and, later on, Butterfly, assuming she says "yes") intend to do is to start a series of threads where we can all have fun getting Butterfly and Jimwilliam cyber married. If she says "no" it will probably be a short series of threads. I've checked and there's actually websites telling you how to arrange and hold a cyber wedding. At the end of the day you guys, as our cyber friends, will all be invited to the ceremony.
Now, the first thread I am going to start, is to enlist your aid in figuring out the best way for Jimwilliam to propose to Butterfly4you.
