Jim, I know that all of us will be with you and April in our hearts and thoughts tomorrow as you celebrate her life with family and friends. Image

April had a wonderful service on Wednesday.  There were probably 200 people there.  She was so well liked and loved.  The minister did a great job.  Like april his words were very spitirtual and upbeat without being overly religious or preachy.  April would have liked that.  After the service everyone retreated to the Airforce Club where what can only be described as a good lively wake took place.  She would have liked that too!  Below is a picture of her grave in her new home.  It's a lovely cemetary and she is right next to her brother and within a very short distance from her sister and parents.

I'm still having trouble with this reality ~ Jim, as difficult as this might seem right now, I hope you find comfort in knowing that April loved you as fiercely as you loved her ~ and I hope you find comfort in the time that you did share and the forever memories you made together ~

Rest in peace, April/Butterfly ~ for ever and ever ~Image

Love, Sooz

What beautiful spring flowers! Colorful and just the kind any Butterfly would love.

May you find comfort, healing and peace in the coming days and months. Image

I am glad you shared the pictures of April's resting place with us.  The flowers are lively and colorful just like April's spirit.

April, May you rest in Peace knowing you are loved.  Image

My love to you April Image and to you Jim Image

I have such a hard time coming in here... it's like a cyber temple or chapel. Thank you for sharing your story and photo Jim. April must be smiling.

I'm glad to hear that all went well, Jim!

I don't know, but somehow, I don't think of Butterfly as just resting. In my mind, she was immediately accepted into the Guardian Angel Guild and she'll be watching over folks in need from now on.

I agree entirely, Chaos.  I simply can't accept the idea that she is just gone.  Somewhere she is busily organizing, phtographing and making people feel better about themselves.

Beautiful pictures Jim. A few people here know that I lost my nephew (age 19) in a drowning accident 2 years ago. I know that April and Alex are rock climbing together in paradise :-)

I noticed it was a beautiful sunshiney day...as for not accepting the idea she is "just gone", you won't accept the idea until you're healed of the immense hurt you've suffered...mentally you might, but not emotionally, so don't even try to accept it yet...just grieve, even talk to her...trust me. it's not nutty, and it is cathartic...

Oh wow . I am so late in learning about April. I am so very sorry. I always thought she was a deep down to the core good and kind person. She must now be an angel.
